HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS:
TSTT now offers High Speed Internet Access using ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology. This service is the solution to the demand for faster access as it facilitates download speeds up to 256 Kbps.
This dial-up service offers full Internet access via a PPP (Point to Point Protocol) connection to a bank of modems on the TSTT's Internet Service. For this service, the user will need a personal computer with the relevant client application software, a modem and a telephone line. TSTT's modem base can support speeds compatible with modems from 28.8 Kbps up to 56 Kbps (V.90).
Access is provided via a dedicated port on the Internet Node and works at a minimum speed of 56/64 K bps. This type of service is ideally suited to large organizations and educational institutions.
