Your phone is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care. By following the warranty obligations and by caring for your mobile you can enjoy it for many years.
Here are some general guidelines which, if practised, can extend the life of your mobile:
- Keep the mobile and all its parts and accessories away from small children
- Keep the phone dry. Precipitation, humidity and liquids containing minerals will corrode the electronic circuits
- Do not use or store the phone in dusty areas as its components may be damaged
- Do not store the phone in hot areas. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries and warp or melt certain plastics
- Do not store the phone in cold areas, because moisture can form inside the phone, which may damage the electronic circuits
- Do not attempt to open the phone's casing. Non-expert handling of the phone may damage the electronic circuits
- Do not drop or knock the phone. Rough handling may damage the internal circuits
Other care and maintenance tips for your mobile handset can be found in the back of the handset manual.
You will receive this in the box when you purchase the phone.
Please read the manual carefully to ensure you understand how to use your new mobile phone properly.
Mobile phone users should not allow their phones to get wet. Even small amounts of water can corrode internal components, causing anything from the display to the memory to stop working. If your mobile phone gets wet, in most cases, it will have to be replaced.
Be sure to protect your phone from the damaging elements by keeping it away from water, rain and sand. Keep in mind that not only swimming pools and beaches pose threats to your phone. Phones can also be damaged after being set on a wet surface. Even dialling with wet hands can cause the handsets to malfunction.
Ideally, your phone should be encased. Especially when taking your phone to the beach or to parties, ensure that it is carefully encased in a protective body glove or carry case.
If your phone gets wet leave it to dry and don't turn it off until it has completely dried. Failure to do so can result in some of the electronics being short-circuited. If it does not work properly, please take it in to any TSTT Mobile Store or a TSTT Approved Dealer to be checked.
Remember:
WATER DAMAGE WILL VOID YOUR PRODUCT WARRANTY, so you should try to avoid getting your mobile phone wet.
