Eye on Security: BLINK Vigilance Brings Video to Alarm Monitoring System

Trinidad - TSTT has announced the introduction of a new Video Verification feature to its alarm monitoring security service. “The best way to know your premises are secure is by seeing it with your own eyes. That is the idea behind BLINK Vigilance’s new Video Verification offering,” said Dennis Gordon, Vice President of TSTT Organizational Risk and Security Services (ORSS). “This service allows our customers to view video of their homes and offices on desktops, laptops and smartphones while they are away from the location, even overseas.”

Launched on Friday, March 25th, BLINK Vigilance Video Verification or BVVV is the newest addition to TSTT's alarm monitoring service – an affordable, Internet-based security solution for the home owner and business person. In late 2010 the company launched BLINK Vigilance Rapid Response, adding the support of trained officers from professional security firms to the service. The introduction of Video Verification allows the company to achieve its goal of providing a suite of complete security solutions.

“We are a visual species and almost nothing gives us peace of mind as much as seeing with our own eyes that our property, premises and loved ones are secure,” explained Gordon. “With Video Verification the BLINK Vigilance Alarm Monitoring Service now combines an incredibly effective security solution with Rapid Response from trained professionals and visual confirmation. We continue to make security of homes and businesses effective and affordable using state of the art technology."

This product is an enhancement to the current alarm monitoring service. BVVV utilizes wireless cameras (standard packages have two) to capture videos of the premises and relays them back to the owner's chosen device, whether computer or handheld, once an alarm is triggered. The standard 3-point alarm procedure remains the same (call, text, rapid response visit), thus enhancing customers’ overall security needs with 24/7 visual access to their premises from any location.

“This service will meet the needs of many SME (Small Medium Enterprise) owners and residential customers who wish to minimise their risk of having their loved ones or property fall victim to criminal activity,” Gordon added.
