Restoration of TSTT Interconnect Gateway

Port of Spain, Trinidad - TSTT is pleased to advise that repairs to its Interconnect Gateway have been completed and connectivity across all other local network service providers has been restored.

Earlier this morning the Interconnect Gateway suffered an equipment failure which resulted in TSTT’s fixedline and bmobile customers being unable to make calls to or receive calls from customers on other local mobile, fixedline and international calling networks.

TSTT promptly engaged the assistance of its international vendor partner to expedite the necessary repairs and replacement of defective parts.

Notwithstanding the complexity of the problem TSTT is particularly pleased that its engineers and vendor were able to resolve the issue as expeditiously as they did. The company also wishes to express its gratitude to the public and understanding and assures that every effort will be made to minimize a reoccurrence of any similar incident.
