Roaming the Caribbean with bmobile

6 October, 2006

bmobile pre-paid customers now have automatic roaming capability in the Caribbean, with the bonus of FREE incoming calls and very competitive user rates. The low fees callers will pay to reach roaming pre-paid customers – as low as the price of a local call, will boost already significant savings.

In announcing the launch of the value-added roaming service for pre-paid customers, Gary Barrow, VP Mobile Services, TSTT said: “Pre-paid customers can take their handsets with them and be at home in the Caribbean. Like our post-paid customers, they too will be able to make and receive calls and use other bmobile services just as if they had never left T&T. bmobile is also the only mobile service provider that offers free incoming calls for prepaid roamers in the Caribbean”.

Using a tri-band or quad-band handset which is compatible with 850Mhz or 1900Mhz bands, bmobile pre-paid customers can remain seamlessly connected in any of the 12 Caribbean countries where Cable & Wireless/bmobile networks operate. These top destinations are Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and Turks & Caicos. The pre-paid roaming service also includes receiving Voicemail messages at no cost and an attractive SMS package.

Stating that bmobile was pleased to offer its valued pre-paid customers a service which was still being rolled out worldwide, Barrow added that bmobile would be working on expanding the number of its pre-paid roaming destinations as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, topping-up while roaming in the Caribbean will be quick and easy for pre-paid customers at Cable & Wireless/bmobile retail locations. If you don’t top-up before travel, you may do so online at www.bmobile.co.tt (click the Self Top-Up link) or arrange for a top-up from a friend back home.
