TSTT PROUD TO CELEBRATE THE WONDER OF THE STEELPAN

Silver sponsor of T&T Steelpan & Jazz Festival 2007

As part of its ongoing support for national culture, TSTT is pleased to once again partner with the Queen’s Royal College Foundation for the staging of the highly-rated Trinidad and Tobago Steelpan & Jazz Festival. It runs from October 16-26, 2007.

“TSTT is honoured to be a sponsor of this top-drawer Festival for the fifth consecutive year. We are always proud to celebrate the musical wonder that is our national instrument – the steelpan,” says Natasha Davis, TSTT’s Head of Marketing Communications.

The 2007 edition of the T&T Steelpan & Jazz Festival will feature two grand concerts, three community concerts (Port of Spain, San Fernando & Arima), workshops for young musicians, symposia and exhibitions.

Davis adds: “The workshops for young musicians represent a very laudable element of the Festival and dovetail neatly with the work of the TSTT Foundation – which utilises culture, among other tools, to promote the development of the young people of T&T. This makes us doubly pleased to support this signal event.”

Ainsley Mark, Chairman of the QRC Foundation, commented that TSTT has provided “truly tremendous” support for the T&T Steelpan & Jazz Festival over the years. “We have a built a good working relationship and we hope that this will continue long into the future,” he added.
