bmobile Discontinues Personal Cheque Payments Effective May 12, 2025

TSTT Corporate Communications

As more customers choose faster and more secure ways to pay, bmobile is updating its payment options and will no longer accept personal cheques effective May 12, 2025.

Personal cheque usage has steadily declined over the years, with bmobile receiving fewer than 30 personal cheques per month from April 2024 to February 2025. In addition to being subject to processing delays, personal cheques also carry a higher risk of fraud. This shift will help bmobile provide customers with the secure, convenient and reliable alternatives they already prefer, streamline its payment process and enhance operational efficiency.

Customers can continue to use the following payment methods:

bmobile Payment Channels

• bmobile Channel Partner Stores – Customers may visit any of bmobile’s authorized channel partners and pay via cash or debit/credit card.
• TSTT’s Tobago Public Offices (Lowlands & Scarborough)
• b-online - bmobile’s online payment portal
• bmobile go – available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store

Bank and Payment Partners

• Republic Bank Limited (RBL)
• Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)
• First Citizens Bank (FCB)
• Scotiabank Limited (SBL)
• Bill Express (GraceKennedy Trinidad & Tobago Limited)
• VIA/LOTTO Booths (IGT Global Services Ltd)

Cheques issued by registered companies will continue to be accepted.

bmobile thanks its customers for their continued support and encourages them to explore the available in-store and digital options that best suit their needs.
