bmobile has partnered with the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain to support the 2026 Beauty of Beetham calendar, which showcases the artistic talents of children from surrounding schools and youth programmes.
This collaboration celebrates young artists from Beetham Gardens and its environs, while also highlighting the community’s creativity and potential.

Now in its fifth year, the Beauty of Beetham calendar features 12 paintings, collages, photographs, and other artistic creations that reflect the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain’s 2026 theme, “Unite for Good.”
For the first time, bmobile has joined the initiative, offering financial support and creative collaboration aimed at strengthening the programme’s impact.

This growing partnership reflects a shared mission to empower young people, open new pathways for their development, and spotlight the positive stories often overshadowed in communities like Beetham Gardens.
Anjanie Ramesar-Soom, Corporate Environmental and Social Responsibility Specialist at TSTT. said their involvement in this project is driven by a commitment to youth development and community upliftment through positive, structured opportunities.

She noted that, “Supporting the Beauty of Beetham calendar is about investing in the potential of our young people. When children are given safe spaces to express themselves, whether through music or art, it strengthens families, builds communities and ultimately, shapes a stronger Trinidad and Tobago. We at bmobile believe in the power of partnership to open doors and help young people realize how far their talents can take them.”

The twelve (12) pieces selected for the 2026 calendar, along with their artists, were recognised during an inspiring prize-giving ceremony at City Hall in late November.

The featured artists include Success Laventille Secondary’s Kayla Flanders, 16, and Kiara Allard, 14; St Francois Girls’ College’s Amirah Pierre, 15; and St Margaret's Boys Anglican siblings Aydion Emily, 13, and Avery Reid, six. The remainder are under protected status.

At the prize-giving, each artist received a cash reward and hamper. They were also addressed and encouraged by Deputy Mayor of Port of Spain and Councillor Abena Hartley.

Janine Peters, mother of Aydion and Avery, shared how meaningful the project had been for her family. This year marked Aydion’s third publication in the calendar since its inception in 2022, and Avery’s first. Aydion also had two of his artistic expressions featured in the 2025 edition.

“The Beauty of Beetham project is a great initiative for my boys. They love the idea of it, and I see the excitement in them,” she said.

Her sons have different artistic talents, one focused on drawing and the other on crafting objects and sculptures. The calendar, she said, opened their eyes to new possibilities. Peters believes initiatives like this can shape the Beetham community in lasting ways. “This project allows them to see the world in a different light. Sometimes it takes a different idea to show them that they can take a different path and still remain positive. Especially at a young age. They are the ones that must come after us to help continue developing Trinidad and Tobago,” Peters added.

Proceeds from the calendar go toward the Beetham Vibrations Youth Steel Orchestra, to help offset costs for resources such as instruments, teachers, music, and uniforms.

The Orchestra shares a close relationship with the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain, which continues to build on its 20-year commitment to the people of the East Port of Spain community.

Past District Governor and Rotary Club Director Lara Quentrall-Thomas explained that the Club’s roots in the area run deep.

“The idea was to create a steel pan orchestra that would not only provide opportunity for musical talent and musical artistry, but also the whole idea of the discipline of the pan yard,” she said.

Quentrall-Thomas added that research shows music enhances literacy, numeracy, discipline, teamwork, and self-esteem benefits that are already transforming the young pannists. She praised bmobile’s decision to come on board and support the project.

“For the 2026 calendar, it is the first time that bmobile has partnered with us and I am quite heartened not just by their financial support but by their enthusiasm in all aspects. This may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. bmobile has been very supportive,” she said.

For bmobile, this partnership aligns with its broader commitment to nurturing communities, creating opportunities, and giving young people constructive pathways toward success.
Their support helps ensure the continuity of a programme that brings structure, mentorship, and pride into the lives of children who often have limited access to such outlets.
