Press Release

The Tobago Jazz Experience, one of the most prestigious music festivals in the Caribbean, is set to make its return after a three-year hiatus. The event, which has undergone several transformations since its inception in 2004, remains committed to showcasing world-class musical talent in the idyllic setting of Tobago. This year's festival promises four days and nights of music featuring an impressive lineup of local, regional, and international artists, including Boyz II Men, Koffee, Vaughnette Bigford, Tony Paul, Sharon Phillips and Katzenjammers.

At the signing of bmobile’s partnership with the Tobago Festivals Commission, Kent Western, General Manager, Customer Experience and Marketing at TSTT noted that, “bmobile is proud to come on board as the technology partner for the event, and we are thrilled about the return of the Tobago Jazz Experience. Our partnership with Tobago Jazz has consistently been a good one as we seek to support our talent, highlight the island as a tourist destination of choice for visitors and continue investing in the people and development of Tobago.”

Tobago Jazz has attracted tens of thousands of people to the island in the past. Up to ten thousand local, Caribbean and diaspora visitors are expected for this year’s festival. John Arnold, CEO of the Tobago Festivals Commission, the organisation responsible for planning and marketing of the event, was excited about the return of the Tobago Jazz Experience, saying, "Our team has worked hard to create a world-class event that showcases the best of Tobago, from its stunning natural beauty to its rich cultural heritage. We look forward to welcoming music lovers from around the world to this year's festival and sharing the magic of Tobago with them."

As the technology partner for the Tobago Jazz Experience, bmobile will provide communications services to support the execution of the highly anticipated event. The festival serves as a gateway for newcomers to the island and a reminder for past visitors, highlighting not only the incredible musical talent on display but the natural beauty and emerging talent on the island.

In addition to the International Night, which features a mix of genres, the festival will also highlight gospel, soca and reggae music. There will be a variety of other events as part of the festival, such as moods, spoken word and Tobago Carnival.

As the Tobago Jazz Experience returns, bmobile looks forward to playing an integral role in supporting the growth and promotion of Tobago's cultural and artistic offerings.
