Press Release

bmobile is excited to announce the launch of B+ (bmobile plus), an interactive, world class mobile application developed to connect football fans in Trinidad and Tobago more deeply and effortlessly to the game they love.

bmobile plus will provide fans access to live football matches, high-definition (HD) streaming, on demand capabilities for match replays and team and player statistics. bmobile is proud to be the only local provider offering a dedicated mobile application and website for all things World Cup.

The B+ app is available to all lovers of the game regardless of mobile network provider. The first match on Sunday 20th November (Qatar vs Ecuador) will be free of charge to anyone in Trinidad and Tobago who downloads the B+ app or accesses the game via bmobileplus.com.

As the nation’s leading communications solutions provider and the Gold Sponsor of this year’s World Cup campaign, bmobile has partnered with Guardian Media Limited (GML) to provide customers and football fans on every local network with an unmatched World Cup experience that offers exclusive access to all 2022 FIFA World Cup matches.

At the launch of Guardian Media’s Home of Football on St. Vincent Street, Port of Spain, TSTT’s Chief Executive Officer Lisa Agard said the company is thrilled to make the FIFA World Cup 2022 readily available to anyone who wants to watch it, anywhere in Trinidad and Tobago.

“As the proud exclusive owner of the mobile streaming rights for Qatar 2022 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago, bmobile is happy to facilitate making the World Cup easily accessible to all. At the heart of why we do all of this is simple; technology.”

“Technology is embedded in every aspect of the staging of the World Cup games, and as a company transitioning from telco to tech-co, we will be watching with a keen eye,” Agard added.

To access the exclusive content, football enthusiasts can now visit the Google Play or IOS stores and download the B+ streaming app or visit www.bmobileplus.com. Fans do not have to miss a goal if they aren’t near a television.

A single game pass costs $50, a team pass which allows access to view all matches of your favourite team costs $100, a premium pass to access all matches is priced at $150 while the special GML pass (access to all matches plus GML’s digital bundle) amounts to $195.

The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, AMPLIA, also partnered with GML to bring to customers an exclusive 2022 FIFA World Cup channel which will feature 24/7 content including all matches and commentary, spectator views and additional content in between matches.

CEO Agard noted that bmobile has invested more than ten billion dollars in telecommunications infrastructure between 2006 and 2021 – a true example of its stake and commitment to customers; unrivalled by any other telecoms company.
