bmobile has reaffirmed its longstanding partnership with the National Council of Indian Culture (NCIC) through its continued support for Divali Nagar 2025, a national showcase of heritage, unity, and cultural expression that extends far beyond religious celebration.
For over two decades, bmobile has been part of the Nagar’s growth into one of Trinidad and Tobago’s largest cultural festivals, supporting an event that attracts thousands each year and highlights the shared traditions that unite communities across the country.
According to Keino Cox, Chief Executive Officer (Ag.), bmobile’s presence at Divali Nagar reflects the company’s deep appreciation for the role of culture in shaping identity and connection.
“bmobile believes our culture is the heart of who we are as a people,” Cox said. “Our continued support for Divali Nagar represents our commitment to honouring the traditions that bring our nation together while giving back to the communities we serve.”
The company’s booth at the Chaguanas site offered visitors a vibrant mix of activity, from customer engagement and promotions to interactive games, festive giveaways, and cultural displays designed to connect with families and communities.
Beyond sponsorship, bmobile’s role underscores the importance of corporate participation in national culture. The company views Divali Nagar as both a platform for cultural education and an opportunity to preserve traditions for future generations, reflecting its broader social responsibility agenda that spans education, sport, technology, and community development.
The 2025 theme, “Loka Sangraha” - translating to “Welfare for the World” - framed this year’s event as a reminder of collective responsibility and compassion. Delivering the feature address, the Honourable Davendranath Tancoo, Minister of Finance, , encouraged Trinidad and Tobago’s global diaspora to share their knowledge and creativity in building the nation’s future, describing the country as “our Ayodhya” - a place of return, renewal, and shared belonging.
In his address, NCIC President Surujdeo Mangaroo reminded attendees that culture must be seen as a foundation for moral and social growth, not just entertainment.
“By investing in Divali Nagar, we are investing in the moral compass of our nation,” Mangaroo said. “We are giving our children a foundation that textbooks cannot provide.”
He extended appreciation to sponsors like bmobile, noting that such partnerships strengthen community values and sustain cultural learning for younger generations.
Each night of the Nagar offers a diverse experience, from classical and modern dance performances by the Apsara Dance Company and Sabri Bindi Seepersad, to live tassa, bhajans, and vibrant food displays celebrating the fusion of Indian and Trinidadian creativity.
For bmobile, the partnership with the NCIC is more than sponsorship, it’s a statement of cultural investment and inclusion. Through its support, bmobile continues to connect communities across Trinidad and Tobago, lighting not just homes, but the shared spaces of identity, creativity, and belonging that define the nation.
